I have been thinking about the best possible way to introduce myself, but all the good ideas are taken! If I'm just too straightforward, then maybe you will think I am boring. Or if I say too much then you might think I'm arrogant. If I don't say enough then you might not think I have substance. Of course now you probably just think I'm neurotic, but you wouldn't be wrong there. Actually, I'm a little bit of all of those things.
I have been a "writer" for my whole life, but it wasn't until recently that I had the courage to think that I could write things that people other than my immediate family would want to read. My bad habits include inappropriate use of punctuation marks, run-on sentences, and superfluous use of adjectives. I love a good 80's movie, I think wine in a box is perfectly acceptable, I taught my husband about the perfection of drinking whiskey straight up, and when I'm not injured I like to run even if nobody is chasing me.
I have a Masters in Public Health, but the more I write the less interested I am in working at a day job. I am a reviewer for the YA Fantasy Guide and I love having the opportunity to do so much reading.
I have a diverse work history that includes lifeguarding, dolphin training, SCUBA Diving, jelly-fish breeding and camping in a zoo.
Speaking of zoos, I maintain my own private home zoo. My exhibits include the world's best dog, the world's most opinionated cat, a rare breed of doting husband and an ever evolving tween drama queen. I deeply adore all of my charges for all their flawed perfections and constant blog fodder. It's not easy being related to a writer, but they all take it in stride. Plus I bribe them with baked goods and other yummies
